Emma Woodham

Biography

Emma C. Woodham began working at Headley Law Firm as a legal secretary in 2020 and quickly discovered a passion for the practice of law, specifically medical malpractice. That realization prompted Emma to begin her own journey to becoming an attorney and, in December of 2024, she graduated from the Charleston School of Law in Charleston, South Carolina. During the three years during which she attended law school, Emma continued to work full-time at Headley Law Firm as a paralegal. In May of 2025, Emma was admitted to the West Virginia Bar. In her role at Headley Law Firm, Emma enjoys developing relationships with clients and helping them through the process of a lawsuit.

Emma is a native of Lincolnton, Georgia, and obtained her undergraduate degree from Georgia Southern University in 2015, graduating cum laude. After working and living in Savannah, Georgia, for a year after graduation, she moved to South Carolina in 2016 and has called it her home ever since. She and her husband, Ryan, reside in Charleston, South Carolina, with their two dogs, Goose and Poppy. In her spare time, Emma enjoys writing fiction, reading a wide variety of books, traveling and exploring new places, saltwater fishing, college football, and, more recently, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
